We had a great day on the water as a family of four. The captain and William were very friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. The weather was perfect with sunshine and calm seas. We spent the first few hours fishing, then headed over to the Captain Cook area to snorkel before getting back to fishing again. We had a few bites but didn’t land any fish, which can happen. Even so, we really enjoyed the day and the overall experience.

My buddy and I had a great time on Silky. Dave and Clayton were easy to talk to, kept things fun, and clearly know what they’re doing. The boat was clean and had everything we needed for the day. It wasn’t our day for a big catch, which is just part of fishing, but we did land two skipjack. One went to live bait and the other for poke, both solid fish and a good fight on lighter gear. The crew even reached out to other captains to check the bite and did everything they could to get us on something. We’d definitely book with them again and likely will on our next trip to Hawaii. Thanks again, guys.

Our family keeps coming back to Silky Sportfishing for a reason. Captain Dave is fantastic—well-connected and consistently puts us on the fish. Clayton did an excellent job guiding our less experienced anglers and brought a great energy to the trip. We landed a huge Ono and a stunning Blue Marlin. Already looking forward to the next time!

We landed 2 skipjack tuna on a slow day, but it was still a solid trip. Captain Dave and Clay were excellent throughout. The two fish provided more than enough tuna to keep our group of four well-fed for the rest of our vacation.

No fish this time, but we still had a great experience. It was a treat to be out on the water, and Captain Dave and Clayton gave it their all to get us on the bite. They really went the extra mile—hopefully we’ll have better luck next time!

We have been coming to Kona for 14 years.Many different boats, but the silky is the best. Captain Dave and William. Put us on 2 blues and a striped marlin the best day on the water by far. The boat is setup so everyone has a comfortable space. The bridge has ample room for all unlike most boats

Great 4 hr fishing trip today with Captain David and Clayton. Caught a skipjack we used as live bait but a shark got to it. The girls then reeled in a hefty mahi-mahi that’s on the grill as we speak! caught and released a 100lb marline, then hooked another 250lber but lost it! Looking forward to another day out with Silky

Had an amazing time on the water with Dave and Cam. They had us hooked up on a huge Blue Marlin not even 10 minutes out of the harbor! Very professional duo and the boat was very comfortable. We’ll definitely look to fish with them again the next time we visit Kona
